Senior Administrative Assistant

Seeking an organized, detail-oriented Administrative Assistant with 8+ years of experience for VIKA Maryland's Beltsville office location. Excel in a role that demands strong communication skills and offers a comprehensive benefits package.

The successful candidate must have 8+ years of administrative experience, be detail oriented and have excellent organizational, oral, and written communications skills. Candidates must possess the ability to manage multiple projects with solid time management skills.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to work both independently or take direction from senior staff in a fast-paced, deadline driven office environment.

Required Experience

The successful candidate will have the following abilities to effectively thrive in this position:

  • Must have at least 8+ years administrative experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, TEAMs, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Experience with database management
  • Willingness and capability to grasp and apply the use of new technologies specific to the firm quickly

Skills

  • Proposal or client contract experience is a plus
  • Strong work ethic, accountable, reliable, and punctual
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be detail oriented and organized in performing tasks
  • Computer literacy

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support as needed throughout all departments and staff.
  • Daily management of all office and kitchen supplies ensuring they are always adequately stocked and clean.
  • Maintain incoming/outgoing mail, and distribute to appropriate personnel
  • Assist with data entry, filing, and other projects
  • Welcoming clients or other visitors to the office
  • Develop and distribute internal communications to on-site staff
  • Regular correspondence with VIKA Germantown
  • Storing sensitive information correctly and with discretion
