Located adjacent to the National Mall, the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum strives to broaden the public understanding of the history of the Holocaust through multifaceted programs. The Museum building sits on land that previously belonged to the U.S. Department of Agriculture – two of the three annex buildings that sat on the property were demolished to build the Museum.
VIKA’s services on this General Services Administration project included: establishment of baseline survey control; building and underground utility locations; and, a topographic survey. The purpose of this survey was to identify all site features such that a dividing line between the Auditors Building and the Museum could be established for legal purposes.
